Final weekend EU.1 Season A

Post  mouseonfire on Wed Apr 24, 2013 8:21 pm

I've just been looking over it and a 5 point win against England and we deny England the LBP and we win EU.1 provided the Italians lose. This will need everything, we beat England away but our form is plumetting atm and we will likely face an unbelievable English side.

I've selected the same tactics simply because they were so successful last time though I do expect a closer game as I can't see England falling into the same trap twice. Lineup is the best we could field, that simple really. I might switch in MacCrory for MacDockery for the line outs.

MacConville has played in the backrow, the centres and now the wing!

Hey Mouse, Johnny of the Jacks is back and active! I haven't had a chance to ask him as I'm travelling all around the place at the moment so internet access is patchy, you might ask him if he will continue to train the 3 guys?

What level kicking does Short have Mouse? Does 2 form make up the difference of 2 skill points? Or am I reading that wrong...

Yeah this was something I was going to ask about. Short is 19 kicking with Réputable(9) form and Superíor(16) energy. Lavery has 21 kicking with Satísfactory(7) form and about 10% less energy with equal experience. I went with Short initially because his kicking was better in the stars for a game earlier in the season than Lavery. Thoughts?

I'd be surprised if form would come anywhere near two levels (21 to 19) in kicking

We are on the other right. Looks close enough but hopefully we have our tactics right.

We really shouldn't lose this now. We'll need to lose to France and for Italy to beat Scotland away from home on inferior energy.

have to admit, once id said to use those tactics again I knew you'd go for it mouse, guessed the "ye" included wex .. with the same recommendation, and knew we'd nothing to fear, next time will need a bit more thought, England need to look at this the way we had to for so long and playing a squad that can carry it through, they're probably considering the best defence and playing keepsies by now

Think we need to play rugby 101 for france, picks, wide, drive repeat. might get shorty to finish in the top try scorer spot n all... which would be nice
