Italy - Home
Italy are a weakened force from previous years in fact I think they will be fighting for survival (barring tactical genius from their manager). Italy have a new guy at the helm Slash he was manager before, was he around when you were managing Wex? Anyways I think he will play it safe with a normal...a tnt would really put them in trouble energy wise. If I were the Italian coach I would save my A squad for my home game on Sunday and so I anticipate his Bs.
Our team is a mixture of As and Bs but this lineup is designed for an attack. MacConville at 7 provides us with a new dimension and Mullins at loosehead is as always a dangerman. However this lineup can be adjusted for kicking too; we have 3 big kickers Short (19), McCluskey (20) and Henry (20)
Tactically, the only thing I am certain of is that we will be Normalling the rest I am working through, advice is welcome. I may take a look at the stats from way back when to see how Italy approached us before under his rule.
I'll post up screeshots of the squad soon aswell.

spam creative, balance the rest - MOM, normal aggression/discipline - keep the kicking fairly low (i'd be inclined to say not at all but i expect they will a bit and personally i'd like to reply in kind to it)
assign henry as the place kicker (form)
.......am i the only one with a smirky notion we can get away with wnwim?

Re: Italy - Home
why the 10% u&u mouse? cant see that doing us any good - more harm if anything imo
also not so sure mcconville is the best idea for a subsitute at 10 - maybe switch him in ahead of mulqueen at 9 replacement and henry 1st replacement at 10? - still the same affect on bringin canavan into flanker

I've seen Chewy do it very sucessfully with Lee Wright for Scotland so I'm not too worried.
U&Us are gone, what are the thoughts on aggressive for this match, really go for the bonus point? Their kicker is in Límited(4) form and our lineout is strong.

I had been thinking of it, but considered it an unnecessary risk.mouseonfire wrote:

Re: Italy - Home
Nice win against Italy, your right Clampett we could have managed a WNWIM, which is indicative of where we are at that we could do that with a team that doesn't have all our stars.
Stuff for tomorrows match is going up in the morning, for now suffice to say we'll be Normalling for the present time. WNWIM will be considered.
